Google’s New Algorithm Explained
Have you ever wondered just how Google prioritises it's search results?
Google - like any platform - has algorithms at play constantly, which also change and evolve regularly, so trying to keep up with them is a full time job (mine, not yours thankfully for you!)
Google has for a long time used the E-A-T system, which stands for Expertise (what makes you an authority in your field?), Authoritativeness (the information you put out) and Trustworthiness (reviews, being current and active, back links).
However, there has been a recent change to this, so now it is focusing on E-E-A-T, and as you can see they've sneaked another E in there.
The extra E stands for Experience - Google wants to see content and websites which demonstrate well researched and grounded content.
So if you're writing a blog post for example, you wouldn't want to just write '10 best places to stay in Dubai' you would need to add your own personal experience of those places, your own thoughts, and make it authentic.
Your content online needs to go beyond lists and information - it needs to contain your unique perspective, personality and insights if you want Google to rank you higher for your content and website.
So why have they made this change?
As we all know, we are living in a world of AI everything, with people (especially content creators) praising the speediness and adaptability, and while that is true and it can do amazing things to make your day easier, it is also harming your website ranking if you use this too much.
